My First Hollow Beads!

I'm very excited to share my first set of hollow beads with everyone! I made the first one of these about 6 months ago with the intention of making a whole set at the time...but didn't get around to it until now! lol Typical me there!!! ;) I have to say, they were challenging to make, but I love the way the light shines through them and how they are larger than my round beads would normally be, but are still lightweight. They have a very ethereal feel to them in my opinion, and of course, I had to add a touch of earth to all that otherworldlyness, so you'll see that I rolled the base of each bead in reactive brown "raku" frit and then melted it in partially. If you REALLY like them, they are up and running on Ebay right now...so just click the link to the left of the screen to go there!

I've also got a set of highly detailed "window" beads up...Ice Gems...they are cool and wonderful for summer! Check out the pictures of both below!!!
